Before you begin
Make sure you have:

Close a subledger account under a master account for an individual or business. Note that the balance of the account must be 0 to close it.
You cannot close an implicit subledger (has the same account number as the master account).
Close a subledger account
A red asterisk (*) indicates a required field.
Find the specific subledger you want to close.
On the Sub Ledger Details screen, scroll down to the Account Activity tab and verify that the current balance of the subledger is $0.00.
Under Sub Ledger Tasks, click Close Account.
In the window that appears, you can add a note explaining why you are closing the account.
You can add an internal note (for Cross River only), a note for the partner, or both. Select Same as Internal Note to apply the same note to both internal and partner.
Click Submit. The status of the subledger becomes Closed.
