Wallet funding (Visa+)
Cross River is proud to offer a new wallet funding service that enables both transfers between participating P2P payment apps and real-time payouts to participating apps.
CR wallet funding introduces a new consumer-defined payAlias (referred to as payname in Visa+ Service product documentation) used to identify payment recipients instead of using sensitive personal data such as a Primary Account Number (PAN), email address or phone number. This eliminates the need for the payment recipient to exchange any sensitive personal data when receiving a payment from a 3rd party.
Wallet funding is a "Push Only" service. You can only send money to the payment instrument, not retrieve it.
Expand your reach: Sending and receiving money traditionally meant both parties needed the same app. Wallet funding changes that, offering a solution for transfers between participating payment apps.
Simplify personal payments: Wallet funding helps reduce the need for your users to juggle multiple apps, accounts, usernames, and passwords. Now users can do more without leaving their preferred participating payment app.
Help enhance privacy: With wallet funding, your users can get paid by sharing their Wallet funding pay alias with others on a participating app, meaning less need to share email addresses or phone numbers.
Offer payouts to payment apps: Enrolled clients can use wallet funding to deliver real-time payouts to participating payments apps, offering gig workers, creators, and others, more destinations for their earnings.
