what you will learn ✅ how to get an estimate of the exchange rate for a cross border international payment ✅ how to get a quote ✅ how to send a payment if you are new to international payments we recommend you read the international payments overview before starting this tutorial before you begin make sure you have cos explorer account number of the sending cross river account sending account configured by cross river to send international payments fees configured by cross river according to your signed agreement get an estimate before committing to sending an international payment, you can get an estimated fx rate for your desired currency this optional step includes cross river' s spread fee charge and does not require beneficiary information a red asterisk ( ) indicates a required field go to get estimate in the international area click get estimate enter your account number ( originator account ) in the search bar in the currency box enter either the dollar amount you want to send or the foreign currency amount you want the beneficiary to receive do not enter both values select a currency click get estimate a currency estimate displays get quote and send payment a red asterisk ( ) indicates a required field go to originate payment in the international area c omplete all required fields including beneficiary group information details for priority , yes indicates swift or local rail and no indicates local rail required field description originator account account number of the sending cross river account currency currency the customer is converting funds into 3 letter iso currency code from amount the amount in usd to be transferred leave blank if you provide a toamount leave out the decimal point between the dollars and the cents to amount the amount in the specified currency to be received leave blank if you provide a fromamount leave out the decimal point between the dollars and the cents purpose a 1 12 character code that indicates the reason for a transaction this code is required for certain markets (countries) country code two letter iso country code for a company entity, the country where it's registered for an individual, the country where they're based bank country code two letter code for the country where the beneficiary's bank account is held bank name name of the beneficiary's bank the required information, such as, account number, iban, bic/swift, sort code, may vary depending on the destination country of the international payment at the bottom of the screen, click get quote you will now see will see an originate payment pop up which will display the originator , receiver and transaction info information if it all look correct, click submit to send the payment the fx quote is only valid for 30 seconds before it expires if you click submit after the quote expires you will need to go back to step 3 and regenerate a quote to view your payment status click payments in the international menu
