Find a customer
what you will learn ✅ how to find a specific customer record in cos explorer before you begin make sure you have cos explorer access identifying information about the customer, such as their unique customer id cif number name tax id process overview to update customer details or view status details about a customer, you first use the cos explorer filter to find the record you want click the customer name to see the detailed record to find a customer in the filters pane on the right side of the screen, enter any information you have about the customer you want to find change the date in the from field to some date before when the customer was created if you only change the year or the month the changes will not be applied you can also select and type the date without going into the calendar at the very bottom of the filter pane, click search the results appear if you get no results, verify the date span is big enough to include the customer you are looking for if you still get no results, verify that the other information is correct your search might return more than one customer, depending on the values you searched for use more detail in the filter to refine your search to view customer details in the search results, click the customer/entity name the customer details screen opens scroll down the page to see specific information about the customer such as customer bank accounts and subaccounts (subledgers) status of various customer identity scans the customer tasks menu on the side of the customer details screen offers options that you can use if your role requires them for example, you might need to deativate the customer
