## Overdrawn account report

The Overdrawn Account Report is an .xlsx file generated daily by the Cross River Operating System (COS) and sent via [SFTP](docId\:vS2CkU9_W5BQQlbjsBq25). It contains a list of the your customer's accounts that are overdrawn.

You can use this report to reconcile between what you requested from the Cross River Operating System (COS) and what COS actually processed.

Only accounts that meet certain criteria appear in this report:

- Only accounts with **Overdraft Funding Enabled** and a configured **Overdraft Funding Account Number **appear
- Overdraft is determined by the configured overdraft funding threshold, and not just by a negative account balance
- No subaccounts appear, only master accounts

## Understand current and available balance

The report includes two different balance values for each account. They are slightly different.

### Current balance

The current balance (also called ledger balance) represents the actual settled balance of the account after all posted transactions. This is the authoritative balance that includes all hard posted transactions that have completed the settlement process.

### Available balance

The available balance represents funds that are immediately accessible for transactions. It is calculated as:

Current Balance - Holds - Pending Authorizations +/- Memo Posts

The difference between current balance and available balance represents:

- Funds on hold (reducing available balance)
- Temporary memo post adjustments
- Pending transactions not yet settled
