## User access by roles

As an organization admin, you control who in your organization can access COS Explorer and the level of permissions for those users.

Manage user access using *roles*. Together with Cross River, your organization defines customized roles for using specific services with specific access levels. Once your organization roles are defined, you create a user for each person in your organization who needs COS Explorer access, assigning the appropriate role or roles to each.

We require your organization to have two admin users for approval purposes. When one admincreates or changes a user, the other approves the action in the system.
:::

## Before you begin

For each user you want to create, make sure you have:

- First and last name
- Phone number (for authentication)
- Corporate email address (domain must be whitelisted/allowlisted with Cross River)
