cards – frequently asked questions welcome to the cards faq this section covers key questions about how our card issuing platform works, so you can better understand card types, issuing models, program services and partner responsibilities product overview what card product types does cross river support? we support three primary card types debit cards (linked to an underlying bank account), credit cards (secured or unsecured), and prepaid cards (loaded in advance) what issuing models are offered? we offer two flexible models partner managed the partner handles most operations (processor selection, ledgering, authorisations) and we provide bank sponsorship, bin support and oversight integrated issuing we manage more of the infrastructure so partners can focus on the customer experience what program services does cross river provide? key services include bin sponsorship, compliance & risk management (kyc, aml, ofac), settlement & reporting, and optional processor flexibility program setup and operations how do i choose between debit, credit or prepaid offerings? choose based on your program goals debit for account based spend, credit for revolving lines, prepaid for loaded fund spend the program configuration (productid) determines supported features and rails what does partner managed issuing require us to do? under partner managed model you will handle card creation, activation, suspension, ledgering and transaction authorisation through your processor we provide bank sponsorship and compliance oversight transaction and authorization capabilities what is “advanced authorization”? advanced authorization allows partners under our integrated issuing model to participate in real time decisioning for card transactions two modes direct (partner decides all transactions) or assist (we decide unless flagged for partner review) does cross river handle settlement and reporting? yes we manage network settlement with visa/mastercard, reconcile daily transaction and balance files, and require partners to submit reporting files (daily, monthly, quarterly) to maintain oversight
